Description

In response to the current declines in many caribou populations and hunting moratoriums, this study characterizes the relationship between Inuit and caribou, probes Inuit perspectives on caribou management, and identifies opportunities to support Mealy Mountains caribou. . The study reveals the consequences of recovery management decisions on Inuit connections to caribou and how they affect their ability to access food, culture and well-being.
