Description

The authors pooled baseline data on weather, water quality, and clinic visits for infectious gastrointestinal disease (IGD) in two Nunatsiavut communities and analyzed these data to identify associations between these variables. The study found significant positive associations between ingesting large volumes of water and IBD-related clinic visits, illustrating the need for quality and temporal baseline data to detect future impacts of climate change on human health.
