This article aims to address a research gap with respect to Indigenous communities and dementia by examining the perspectives of First Nations Elders in British Columbia on memory loss and the treatment of memory disorders. later in life. Research highlights the importance of culturally safe dementia care and the recovery of traditional knowledge and practices for the care of First Nations people with dementia.
