Description

This cross-sectional study aimed to examine trends in mercury, lead and cadmium exposure among Inuit adults from 14 Nunavik communities, and to identify sources of exposure. The study indicated significant reductions in adult exposure to these contaminants; however, blood cadmium levels remained elevated, highlighting the need for intensive smoking prevention campaigns in this population.
