Description

On June 18, 2020, the Southern Chiefs Organization signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Canada allowing the peoples of the Anishinaabeg and Dakota Nations to assume greater control over their health and well-being, and to closing gaps in the health system. The memorandum of understanding commits the two parties to collaborate on the creation of a new model of governance of the health system adapted to the reality of First Nations communities, and which is accountable to them.
