The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) governance charter is based on the document entitled "Ministry of Health and Saskatchewan Health Authority roles and responsibilities in a restructured health system". Authority in the context of a restructured health system), specifying the roles and responsibilities, functions and structures of the SHA. The charter commits SHA board members to "provide physical, psychological, social, cultural and environmental safety," with the goal of advancing "a culture of safety and continuous improvement that provides care and patient and family centered services” (p. 5).
