This article investigates the different roles and perspectives of Inuit men and women in the community of Inukjuak, Nunavik, regarding environmental contaminants in the region. The author stresses the importance of considering the perspectives of men and women in the development of effective environmental health policies, programs and strategies to respond to contaminants.
