Description

The authors conducted a comprehensive review of the literature on physical environmental issues in remote Indigenous communities that have been associated with adverse health outcomes, to better understand environmental risk factors in remote communities. Indigenous Peoples of Australia and to identify research gaps. They focused their work on geogenic dust (coming from the earth) and inhaled biomass smoke, contamination of drinking water by bacteria and heavy metals, and overcrowding.
