Declining Sex Ratio in a First Nation Community

2005

Mackenzie, C.A., Lockridge, A., & Keith, M.

Description

The Aamjiwnaang First Nation community near Sarnia, Ontario, is located near a large cluster of factories, potentially exposing residents to compounds that could affect sex ratio. The authors analyzed the sex ratio of community members for the period from 1984 to 2003 and found a downward trend in the proportion of male births.
