This article presents findings from a qualitative research study that investigated the health care needs of older women and their caregivers in the Métis community in Buffalo Narrows, Saskatchewan. The authors examined access to home care and long-term care services, and presented policy recommendations in this area so that home care and long-term care effectively meet the needs of women as care recipients, care providers and caregivers.
