Exploring tuberculosis treatment, management, and prevention in Manitoba's Administrative health data

Description

This report examines the use of linked TB registry and administrative data to describe the characteristics and health outcomes of active TB and treated latent TB infection (LTBI) cases in Manitoba. It describes the completeness and accuracy of information about active TB cases, validates administrative health data for identifying active TB cases, assesses the accuracy and completeness of information about contacts of active TB cases, describes the characteristics and outcomes of contacts, and explores trends in the treatment of LTBI and the characteristics and outcomes of individuals receiving treatment for LTBI.
