This article aims to address a knowledge gap on the efficacy of traditional healing practices on improving health outcomes. The authors draw on findings from a qualitative study on the impact of the Sweat Lodge ceremony on the wellness of First Nations clients suffering from intergenerational trauma and substance use issues.
