Continuing Competence Program: Learning in Action

Description

Based on the NANB’s Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses and the Standards of Practice for Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioners, the Continuing Competence Program articulates competencies that need to be maintained by nurses to provide safe, competent, and ethical care, including those related to cultural safety. Nurses are required to maintain continuing competence, which must be met annually in order to renew registration.
