This article compares prenatal risk factors and birth outcomes of First Nations and Métis women with non-Indigenous women in a hospital in Edmonton. The study found that known risk factors for adverse pregnancy outcomes were more common among Indigenous women than non-Indigenous women, but did not find statistically significant relations between Indigenous status and birth outcomes.
