In this article, the author critique's Mallard et al's commentary that brought into focus the dire need to collect data on COVID-19 in Indigenous populations around the world. She discusses three major flaws in Mallard et al's approach which call into question the authors' calculations and interpretation of the COVID-19 experience in First Nations communities in Canada.
